Ceremonies

[Russetleaf]

Russetleaf leaped upon the rock, her father was feeling a little under the weather again. It seems as thought he has not yet fully recovered from his illness. So as he rested, Russetleaf would help out a little bit, like she was always willing to do for her father.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather here for a clan meeting."

Waiting for everyone to gather she looked around the coward. No doubt they were whispering about her place in the clan. Taking control of power that shouldn't be hers, but she learned to just ignore it.

"Frostpaw, you are determined and loyal. It is time for you to become a warrior. I name you Frostpool. Do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and defend your clan, even at the cost of your life?
[Wait for response of, 'I do.']
Then I commend you to SkyClan, to become a warrior."

Once her apprentice's ceremony was over she moved onto the next one.

"Skypaw step forth."

"Your ceremony has been put of long enough. It is time you are given your mentor by proper terms.
Frostpool, you are ready for an apprentice. You will be Skypaw's mentor."

Once everyone had cheered for the apprentice, Russetleaf had one more announcement.

"As many of you know, it was my father's decision to bring in an outsider to our Clan. Blue, please step forth. It is time you learn the ways of the Clans and you are trained in our way of life. By my father's wish I am to train you in these ways. I shall be your mentor."

Russetleaf leaped down from the rock and touched noses with the tom that was her height maybe even taller. "Training start's tomorrow, early don't be late. We shall meet at the camp entrance at the peak of dawn."

She then turned to look at Frostpool and smiled cheerfully. "You are now a warrior! Let me know if you have any question when training Skypaw, she is a good she-cat. You will have no trouble with her I'm sure."

[Frostpool]

Frostpool smiled at Russetleaf. I do, she meowed sweetly. She had a bright smile on her face. She was finally a warrior. She was surprised that she got an apprentice. She padded towards Skypaw and touched noses with her. Training will begin tomorrow at sunrise, she purred gently. She turned her head to see Blue. A big smile on her face. She ran towards him. Congrats Blue! You're one step closer to becoming a full member of Shadeclan, she meowed happily. She looked over at Russetleaf. I know Russet! I'm so excited. We need to train together sometime, she meowed giggling slightly.

[Russetleaf]

Russetleaf saw the shine in her eyes when she gaze at the tom known as Blue. She could not help, but feel pain. As if someone was shredding her heart away. Why she felt this, she could not tell. The only thing she understood was that she wanted her best friend to stay away from him. How could she possibly do that thought? It seems that she had been spending more and more time with the kitty-pet. Russetleaf said and started to walk towards the leader's den to speak with her father.

[Frostpool]

Frostpool watched as Russetleaf walked away. Sadness and confusion came into her eyes. Russet? she asked her in confusion. She flattened her ears and felt her tail drop to the ground in disappointment.

[Russetleaf]

Russetleaf stopped when she heard Frostpool call her name with a confused tone. Turning her head she gazed at her friend with dark blue eyes. "Do have a question Frostpool?" The brown she-cat thought it better if she not mention her true feelings for she felt it would hurt her friend. If she liked the tom why should Russet stand in the way? Maybe it was the fact that she would be losing her friend. Someone who has been by her side since she was a small kit. It was always just them two and no one else. Now this Kitty-pet was in the picture and messing everything up.

[Frostpool]

Frostpool smiled when she turned around. Why are you leaving? she asked innocently. She tilted her head to the side. She thought her best friend would be happy that she was a warrior. She was completely unaware of the fact that she was obvious about her crush on Blue.

[Russetleaf]

Russetleaf gave a fake smile in return for her friends innocent one. "I have to speak with my father, don't forget to stand watch over the camp tonight." With that the brown she-cat flicked her black tipped at her friend and walked towards the Leader's Den once more.

[Blue]

Blue nodded to the she-cat as she worked her way to Poisonstar's den. He glanced from Frostpool who was once so happy moments ago and now she seems utterly confused. He felt a stab of guilt, did he cause this? He hoped not, he had triggered something when he suddenly showed up on Shadeclan's doorstep. He laid his tail across her flank in a friendly and comforting way, his face shining with sympathy. "Give her time to sort this mess through. I know I'm not completely accepted as an ally, little more than an enemy. But, don't let your emotions cloud your eyes, otherwise you won't get to see the future ahead of you." He said solemnly, looking after the dark brown warrior and then back to the she-cat at his side.

[Frostpool]

Frostpool flattened her ears out of sadness and nodded her head to Russetleaf as she walked away. She looked over at Blue and nodded her head. When he rested his tail on her flank she blushed a little bit but forced herself to relax. I just wish I knew what was wrong... she meowed quietly with a shrug of her shoulders. You're my ally whether Shadeclan likes it or not, she purred gently.

[Skypaw]

Skypaw smiled sweetly at Russetleaf and dipped her head, her eyes shimmering with pride. She trotted over to her new mentor and looked up at her, standing quietly as she waited to be spoken directly to. She gazed curiously at Blue, her ears perked as she tilted her head, running her gaze over the new apprentice. Her mentor seemed to be pretty good friends with him already, but she still wondered why he came here, after-all her other mentor had told her to be cautious of other cats.
