Hello, I am Redstar and not many cats have heard of me. Not many cats know who I am...She never speaks of me....How could she? We both know what happens...Her, me, and one other cat...A cat that should of never been born...We know what happened....Now it's time for me to tell you what happened....
I was born a five moons before her, so we never saw each other much. She hanged out with other kits than I did, and her mother was far more worried about her sister to pay any close attenttion to me. That was fine, I payed no attenttion to them. I was friends with other cats. I was born to Littlefeather and Blazefire everyone says I looked like my dad. I was also close with my dad never my mom, I never really knew her. She died when I was only one month old in a fox attack. My father never talked about her but he never showed his weakness either. He was always a strong brave cat. I get to see him again now....Where I am...
Enough of that lets move on to when i became Redpaw. I meant my best friends Sandpaw, and Fallenpaw than. We did everything together...Untill she came.
She came depressed...Done...She said I saved her....I didn't know it than but really she saved me. I started to hang out with her more and more, Sandpaw, who hada crush on (which I didn't know than) became very jelouse of her and wouldn't hang out with us. I was mad at Sandpaw because I didn't understand why she was acting like that...I'm sorry Sandpaw....
I became Redfire but was sadden that she wouldn't also become a warrior with me. But I knew I had imporant warrior duties to follow and I couldn't let her distract me......But than Darkclan attacked....I fought cats and cats but more seemed to just keep coming....Her father died that die. I knew I had to be there for her than. So I started staying in the apprentices den instead of the warrior den so I could comfort her.
Not long after that she joined the warriors den.
We got our first apprentices at the same time, hers was Shadowpaw mine was Heatherpaw. We trained together everyday.
She had only been a warrior for two moons when I become the deputy, and thats when I finally asked her to be my mate. She said yes.
But when I became Redstar only two moons after that everything changed.
I had made her deputy because I knew of her strength, wisdom, kindess, and she was the cat I trusted the most.
But I had been so naive to think Darkclan was like all the other clans..Darkclan was run by a cat named Blackstar. And Blackstar attacked and attacked all of the clans for moons. And when Blackstar attacked with all of his warriors for the fifth time he was after her. I knew why. She had once told me of some dreams she had of the leader named Waterstar, the first leader ever. She said she visited her often, but she never really told me details.
Her and Blackstar were fighting..She was loosing I couldn't let this happen...He had her pinned...He was going to kill her...But I loved her...I had to stop him. So I ran over and pounced on Blackstar stratching his right eye. But Blackstar was a lot bigger than me, he was bigger than any cat I had ever seen. And he tossed me over and than bit my neck...Harder...And...Harder...
I felt the light leaving my eyes, but I knew I still had all my lives left...Right?......I came back...But than died...And than came back...And than died....My lives couldn't help me...Blackstars bite had been so bad I was loosing all of my lifes.
I heard her call out and scream she was so young to loose everyone so early in her life. But she was far more imporant than me, I knew that..She would be a good leader..Even if she was so young.
"Redstar!" She called going over to my side.
"I love you" I told her before I my last breath left me. She avenged me that day. Somehow she had killed Blackstar where he now wanders in the dark forest for eternity.
So many cats died that day, it is known as the first Clan war a war in which all of the clans were apart of. The second one would come in a couple of years time. But this one...This one wiped out most of the clan cats...To this day some of the clans don't know which side they were on...
But I'm not with her...I'm going to have to wait a long time before she is with me again....
Maybe by that point it will be too late.
I am the cat before her. Before the leader you know now.
But now I am here to tell you...That not even Skyclan is safe now...No one is safe now....
